Fully editable large scale World map in a choice of vector formats. You can turn the layers on or off, customise the lines, fills and text and add your own information to create your own styles. Layers include: coastlines and islands, country borders & fills, country names, sea/ocean names, river names, rivers, major lakes, minor lakes, physical names, capital cities, over 3400 settlements, major airports plus latitude/longitude @ 10, 5 & 1* intervals. Includes internal region borders and fills for Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Russia and the United States. Suitable for use up to A0. Map dimensions 85 inches D x 110 inches W (28.26 x 21.72 cm.) This map is sometimes referred to as the Peters projection. Choose from Illustrator 5.5 (legacy), or Illustrator CS (for CS1 to CS4). Choose Illustrator 5.5 to be compatible with CorelDraw 6 or later and Canvas 7 or later.
This map shape is sometimes referred to as the Peters projection, the Peters projection is properly attributed to James Gall of Edinburgh, who presented it in 1855.
Usage:
Graphical — suitable for thematic maps to display world statistics such as distribution of resources, vegetation, population, or industrial activity. The projection is employed by several religious bodies and organizations involved in Third World development, such as some departments of the United Nations and in the OXFAM logo. If severe stretching near the equator is a problem, try Eckert IV instead.
